Hey\u00a0ADKYP<\/span>! Whew, where did February go?! TGIM–thank goodness it\u2019s March! We don\u2019t know about you, but we\u2019re always glad that March offers the preview of Spring here in the North Country, and then also all the fun of the maple trees starting to run. Plus, it\u2019s Women\u2019s History Month! We are definitely suggesting supporting any and all local women-owned businesses this month, plus taking some time to enjoy St. Patrick\u2019s Day in the third week. And who knows–maybe we\u2019ll see a crocus or two by the end of the month! March 3rd:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0Pick-up Play at Old Soul, starts at 5:30 p.m.
March 4th:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0Adirondack Center for Writing Story Howl at Olive Ridley\u2019s; starts at 7:00 p.m., with the theme \u201cKitchen Confidential\u201d.\u00a0
March 7th:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0Kids Night Out at Memorial Hall on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus; hosted by the Women\u2019s Volleyball Team. Starts at 6:00 p.m., with plenty of things to do for children ages 3 to 13.
March 7th through 9th:\u00a0<\/u><\/strong>Adirondack Winter Pride takes place in Lake Placid. See Facebook event for more information.
March 8th:\u00a0<\/u><\/strong>The First Annual Wearable Art Show at Old Soul; there\u2019s two showtimes, one at 3:00 p.m. and one at 6 p.m. Note that this event requires a ticket–it\u2019s $20 pre-show, and $25 at the door.\u00a0
March 16th:<\/strong><\/u>\u00a0Whistle Stop Fusion Barbecue & Mocktails celebrates their 1-Year Anniversary! Celebration starts at 11:00 a.m., featuring a St. Patrick\u2019s Day menu at 23 Old Station Drive in West Chazy

Featured Member<\/strong><\/h3>

This month, we\u2019re featuring Megan Manson! Megan is currently the Marketing Manager at the Lake Placid Olympic Center, and has been a member since 2016. She joined because she wanted to meet others around her age in the area, and build some community. It\u2019s been helpful and valuable to her for nearly ten years! Why did she stay in? Well, she thinks that ADKYP brings a lot to the community; her memories include volunteering to help folks during the 2020 pandemic, helping out with the JCEO Backpack Program delivering foodstuffs to local children, and pitching in for the Plattsburgh Green-Up for Earth Day. Some accomplishments she\u2019s had through her tenure in ADKYP have been an Award of Excellence from the NYS School Public Relations Association for the rebranding of the Plattsburgh City School District, but nowadays, she aims to sell out the Herb Brooks Arena at the Olympic Center…and she has come very, very close\u2026. Down the road, she hopes you’ll catch her marketing an Olympic Team trials, a major concert at the Olympic Center, or maybe even on the front lines of a full Olympic bid for the northeast in the future. Fingers crossed!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
